How is your Relationship with your Money?

I read this brilliant article in Daily Express (my Fav newspaper) with the exact title above. Maybe this entry can offer something useful.

Read on… :)

Why do people want Money?

-

People want money so they can live.

They want money to take care of themselves and their families.

But people also want money because our culture tells us:

Money makes you important!

Money equals self esteem!

You are what you earn!

Etc… Etc…

Our culture also tells us that owning lots of things will make us happy.

What we hear and see suggest that we can buy feelings.

If we pay attention to all these Hype, we can come up EMPTY in the end. -APKP

-

Personally, I’m a Firm believer of

‘Money isn’t everything. But everything needs Money!”

-

“It can buy you a house, but not a Home”

“It can buy you a bed, but not Sleep”

“It can buy you a clock, but not Time”

“It can buy you a book, but not knowledge”

“It can buy you a position, but not Respect”

“It can buy you medicine, but not Health”

“It can buy you blood, but not Life”

As you can see, money isn’t everything. But still, with money you can achieve a lot.

You can take care of food so that you don’t go hungry.

It can buy you House & clothing, it provide you with shelter.

Services like healthcare ensures quality living.

Spending for Education can bring better future.

-

You need many of the things you have and the services you buy.

“The key is not how much money you have but how you use it”

Unless you use money as a tool, it can easily become a trap! -APKP

Very seldom do we hear of people asking us:

“How is your relationship with your money?”

It may seem a little intruding but honestly, if one asks you this question, how would you answer?

Are you guys still ‘talking’ with each other?

Still going ‘strong’? Living apart?

Or worse, ‘divorced’? LOL.

“I’m living so far beyond my income that we may almost be said to be living apart”

I say:

“My relationship with my money is going down the drain right now but there’s still hope & ways to revive this relationship”

What say YOU?

Come on cheer me up! Drop your comments and let me know -

How your relationship with your money is.

They say, ‘confession is good for your Soul’. Hehe
