Katie Kirkpatrick, 21, battled with cancer to celebrate the happiest day of her life. Just when she taught she was free from cancer, the cancer return-to clog her lungs and grab hold of her heart. Breathing was difficult and she had to use oxygen. Morphine failed to protect her from intense pain in her back & her organs were shutting down. But it would not stop her from marrying Nick Godwin, 23.

Nick, left, rest for a moment while his bride Katie, right, gets an intravenous procedure to reduce the amount of fluids her body. Nick night shifts as a Lapeer County Sheriff’s deputy & took Katie to the medical center after a night’s work, three days before their wedding.

 She did not let sickness stop her from living, She did not let sickness take away the hope & faith that made her believe she had a future. She had a lovely wedding… and she had love and she gave love and love doesn’ t die.

-And that is how Katie beat cancer.

I've read this before on my friends blog. It's so sad, no matter how many times I read it. been in love since 11th grade, but the marriage only last for 5 days. feel sorry for the husband
